This presentation aims to discuss the preliminary findings of an IRB-approved research study investigating the perceptions of faculty course developers at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University regarding the integration of emerging technologies in higher education. Two key research questions guide the study: What are faculty perceptions of emerging technologies, and how do these perceptions shape their strategies for future technology integration? Additionally, the study aims to gather insights into how faculty perceptions of future learning implications arise from these emerging technologies. The session will present and discuss common trends in the data, offering valuable insight into fostering future-ready learning environments. Attendees are welcome to engage in conversation exploring best practices for integrating emerging technologies within the higher education classroom, with a focus on anticipating future learning impacts on students.
