Jeremy Rentz is still learning how to be an exceptional teacher, and he relishes the journey every day. Currently, he practices his teaching skills as a Professor of Environmental Engineering at Trine University, where he is also the Director for the Center for Teaching Excellence. Yeah, you read that right. Someone with little formal teacher training leads faculty development efforts. But it works because Jeremy knows that “the one doing the work is the one doing the learning,” and he applies those principles to both the undergraduate classes he teaches and the faculty development sessions he leads.
