Using a combination of Canvas Commons and a digital badging system, the Learning Centers at Rutgers University – New Brunswick were able to reach over 8,000 students in one year with self-paced, asynchronous online learning modules. These modules required student engagement with the content and included feedback and direct links to academic support services. They were designed to require minimal effort from faculty and campus partners to include in their Canvas courses, leading to a valuable resource that could be widely distributed across all schools and departments. In this session, the presenters will discuss the design process, considerations and options for implementing a similar program at other institutions, as well as plans for building upon the success of the first three modules.
