Karen LaPlant was a faculty member at Hennepin Technical College in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System where she taught courses in Business and Information Technology for almost 30 years with the past 17 years online. LaPlant has a Masters in Instructional Technology from St. Cloud State University. Karen has presented at national conferences in course design, course quality, communication, accessibility, LTI, Integrating Technology, Future Classroom.  She is a Certified Quality Matters Reviewer, an ACBSP Accreditation site reviewer and has co-authored the book Designing Effective Teaching and Significant Learning.  Karen is currently working at Metropolitan State University for the IT Center of Excellence in designing online modules in the high demand IT areas of Data, Cyber, Agile/Dev Ops and Career Readiness.

Zala Fashant is a retired faculty member, faculty developer for over 10,000 faculty and dean in the Minnesota State system. He delivered course design courses to faculty worldwide. Zala has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Minnesota, Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Cloud State University.
