Synchronous and Asynchronous Delivery have benefits and challenges. This session will provide an opportunity to reflect on the benefits and challenges of each delivery method while also compiling best practices. Time will be dedicated to searching out the optimum balance between the methods that empowers faculty with the ability to best serve student needs in a virtual platform.
David Betancourt travels internationally as a creative and dynamic educational consultant to promote pedagogical excellence within multiple teaching and learning environments. He was recognized as Outstanding Faculty in 2015 and Most Outstanding Faculty in 2016 at Cerritos College. His core mission is to engage, equip, and connect educators to create and integrate transformative learning experiences using evidence-based practices. As Coordinator of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTX) at Cerritos College, Dr. Betancourt developed an extensively vibrant program of professional learning opportunities.
