This discussion will focus on the concept of interleaving and how best to incorporate it into online courses. To start the discussion, the discussion leader will briefly share about the concept of interleaving and provide examples from research and how she has used it in her courses. She will then ask roundtable participants to share if they have used interleaving before.

The two outcomes for this roundtable are:

  • After attending this session, attendees will be able to implement interleaving in their courses.
  • After attending this session, attendees will be able to decide where interleaving is a good fit in their courses.

To determine how successful the roundtable discussion was in meeting these outcomes, participants will complete a worksheet during the discussion where they identify where they can fit interleaving into their curriculum and how they can implement interleaving in their courses. Roundtable attendees will be asked to share their ideas.
