Using QR Codes to Create Engaging Learning & Training Experiences

Tolulope (Tolu) Noah, Ed.D. is the Instructional Learning Spaces Coordinator at California State University, Long Beach, where she facilitates faculty development. Previously, she was a senior professional learning specialist at Apple, an associate professor in the undergraduate teacher education program at Azusa Pacific University (APU), and a K-12 teacher in Los Angeles. Tolu received the 2019 Teaching Excellence Faculty Award at APU, and she was recently named by EdTech Magazine as one of the 30 Higher Ed IT Influencers to Follow in 2023.

QR codes are a simple, yet powerful technology that can be used in many different ways in the university setting. In this interactive session, participants will learn about what QR codes are, why they are valuable for teaching and learning, and how to create them. We will also explore a wide variety of practical ideas for how QR codes can be incorporated into teaching, faculty development, and other professional work.
