This session will focus on student success related to embedded support in a community college’s online courses. A unique online success coach program will be introduced. Participants will learn how this initiative has been implemented and supported by the college and the steps they can take to implement a similar program at their own institution.
Jacqie Allen is the Director of Online Student Success in the PimaOnline Division at Pima Community College (PCC) in Tucson, AZ. She has been at Pima since 2018 and has a background in advising and counseling.
Andre Bernal is an Online Success Coach and has been with the college for almost 3 years. He looks forward to meeting everyone and further discussing the success coach role.
Jessica Davis is an Online Success Coach. She has served in this role for 2 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a master’s degree in School Counseling from Winona State University.
Pedro Gonzalez is a native Tucsonan, first gen, and a graduate from PCC. His current role is College Success Coach and he’s been at PCC for three years.
Francisco Lizarraga is also a native Arizonan. He is a College Success Coach and has been working for PCC for over 20 years.
